DRUMMER STEVE FERRONE…
Steve Ferrone was a natural fit when Generation Radio was looking for a new drummer to takeover for Deen Castronovo who departed to resume his career with Journey. Best known as the drummer for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Steve was the drummer for The Average White Band and toured with Eric Clapton.
Ferrone has also appeared on recordings by Eric Clapton, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Brian May, Anita Baker, George Benson, Jonathan Butler, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Ferry, Climie Fisher, Christine McVie, Peter Frampton, Jeff Golub, Rick James, Whitney Houston, and Chaka Khan just to name a few. Steve was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 2002. Needless to say, Generation Radio is thankful to have such a talented musician as part of the band.
